Best Practices
Wrap Position
We suggest utilizing the bottom and right side canvases for important information like text, logo and imagery. This will allow the key information to always be in view, while not distracting from the video.
Copy & CTA
We suggest using as little text as possible to allow your branding and imagery to shine. Keep copy as close to the following suggestions:
- Headline (100 characters)
- Additional copy (100 characters)
If you would like to include more text than suggested, consider animating to break up the content and allow the user to process smaller pieces of information.
Users are unable to click directly from the video space to a landing page, so there is no need for a CTA button. Call to actions should be included in the headline messaging if necessary.
Animation
Wrap creatives can be animated onto screen or off of the screen to better time the message with the video content. We recommend considering video length and youtube inventory type to maximize animation effect.
- 6s inventory - no animation recommended
- skippable inventory - we recommend the wrap start in view and animate out of view if desired
- non-skippable inventory - animation recommended where desired
QR Codes (Youtube CTV Inventory Only Recommended)
Allow viewers to easily access landing pages, app downloads, coupons or shoppable microsites via a QR code. QR codes should be high contrast for color legibility and large enough to scan from a further distance.
QR codes can be produced by MiQ or shared by the brand directly. If MiQ produces the QR code, scan reports are available!
